Chris Saint Clark
Chris Saint Clark opened Kustom Thrills Tattoo in Nashville in May 2007. Saint Clark, is a member of the Association of Professional Tattooists and the shop adheres to the highest standard of sterilization procedures.
Saint Clark specializes in black and grey realism, however he still enjoys working with color. Interested in the arts at a young age, he studied with the Art Instruction School in Minnesota and received his bachelor's degree in the Arts from Canterbury University in 1990.
His tattoo career began over 10 years ago when he apprenticed under Tony Olivas at Sacred Heart Tattoo in the Little Five Points district of Atlanta, Georgia. During this time he also worked closely with Tom DePriest. In 2002 he relocated to Savannah Georgia and began working at Smiling Buddha Tattoo Studio. Chris was with Smiling Buddha until moving to Nashville and opening Kustom Thrills.
Chris' awards include Best Pabst Blue Ribbon Tattoo at the 2004 Pabst Blue Ribbon Festival, Best Small Black and Grey Tattoo at the Prick Magazine Rock-n-Roll Tattoo Contest in 2005, Best Back Piece at Inked Up 2007 and 2nd Place Best Traditional Tattoo at Full Moon Tattoo Convention 2008. He has tattooed at various conventions around the country- including Atlanta, New Orleans, Richmond, Colorado, Miami and Chattanooga. His tattoo expertise has been quoted in various media outlets, including WebMD, Prick Tattoo Magazine, the Atlanta Journal & Constitution. Spine Fanzine, the Savannah College of Art & Design campus newspaper. Chris even designed tattoos for the characters in the movie "Drumline."
